This is the official book of the 'Comics Unmasked' exhibition at The British Library, sold initally in the gift shop during the exhibtion and now widely available.

 

With content spanning 200 years of comics, from George Cruickshank to Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman and beyond,
the book design needed to support a wide range of image styles. We used a bold colour palette and plenty of white space to show these images at their finest.

 

An incredibly tight deadline left no time for fancy twiddles, it was all about getting a great look as simply as possible. We are delighted the book won the Broken Frontier Award for Best Book on Comics.
